This week in class, we will talk through a short article by ethicist Larry Rasmussen, as well as a response to that article by another scholar, Laura M. Hartman, in order to explore how to evaluate scholarly arguments and how scholars interact productively with each other's work. You will need access to these articles in class, so please download them (click the permalink below, then save it to your computer by clicking the file icon at the top right of the black box). Please also read through the articles before class.
