Class Prep: Do
- If you have not done so before, consider signing up for an account with ChatGPT. Play around with the tool to see how powerful it is.
- What happens if you ask it to write a 1000-word short story about a topic you love in the style of your favorite author?
- What happens if you tell it to "explain hermeneutics to me like I am 5" versus "explain hermeneutics to me like I'm in seminary"?
- What happens if you copy/paste the text of an article into ChatGPT and tell it to summarize it for you?
- What happens if you ask it to write a sermon based on Amos 5 and the Black Lives Matter movement? Would you preach this sermon? Why/why not? What would you do with this sermon besides preach it, if anything?
