Biblical Language Study Resources

This guide is a collection of reference sources at UPSem Libraries for studying biblical Hebrew and koine Greek. Most of these are in the Reference collection of the Richmond library; many are also available in the Charlotte library.

    • Greek-English edition of the Synopsis Quattuor Evangeliorum, with the Greek Nestle-Aland 26th edition text and parallel English Revised Standard Version, 2nd edition text. Greek text has full critical apparatus, while the facing English text has an apparatus of significant variants in the KJV, ERV, and RSV.

    • Includes not only the canonical gospels, but also the Gospels of Thomas, Peter, other gospel fragments, and a proposed reconstruction of Q. Lists doublets and verses with comparable themes or verbal similarities. Also includes some text critical notes.
